There are several groups of people in which special friendships are made, such as the forces and nursing, but in the biking community is a strong one as we all share the same freedom and perceived dangers every time we are out and about.
I haven’t been a member of any owners group or club for years now, but the longest I was in one was the VSOC and many of those members I still count as close friends. So I was pleased to be able to attend Rogers’s farewell on 16 February with many other club members and bikers from the UK.
A quietly spoken man, Roger was one of the nicest men I have ever met, and the turn out amazing which proved the strength of the community and the friendships he had made. Sadly dying of Parkinson’s disease I know his kindness and smile will have touched many and will live on for years.
Cheers Roger
